Kimagure Orange Road

Been watching “Kimagure Orange Road” - an old #anime from the 80’s. I’m amazed seeing how far animation has come. Shout out to all of today’s background artists! Seeing this show makes me appreciate their work. Makes me want to start drawing landscapes and backgrounds now. 

Also, per Wikipedia, the character of Madoka Ayukawa was based of the actress Phoebe Cates. Here’s a drawing of her styled as Ayukawa from the end credits of the show (I’m all about that closing theme song btw) and a screenshot of the reference.
