Callen Draws: Bara Manga

My crude attempt in making bara manga. 

For those who don't know, bara is a genre of art and fictional media that focuses on male same-sex love. This is different than yaoi. Whereas yaoi or BL caters to women primarily, bara is often created by and for gay men. 

While bara usually features hentai (adult content, sometimes violent or exploitative) and gay romanticism, it often has more realistic or autobiographical themes, as it acknowledges the varied reactions to homosexuality in modern Japan.

It's been kind of my new goal to be a published bara manga author, because... why not? 

But I'm slowly realizing that my style is different from the Japanese manga. I'm also finding out that a lot of the storylines in this genre (and in a lot of anime, for that matter) are a little problematic for my sensibilities. It's just a cultural difference, I supposed.
